Peter, a talented songwriter and a sad sack, has been heartbroken ever since Sarah Marshall, his girlfriend of five years, left him. The star of the crime drama CSI-style show, left him. He cried, he set things on fire, he moped. Finally, his brother Brian suggested a getaway, so Peter headed to a resort in Oahu. As he was checking in, he saw Sarah with Aldous, a new British guy. The crying and sulking started all over again until Peter received some much-needed help from Rachel, a compassionate hotel receptionist, who invited him to a luau and showed him around the island. Despite his constant run-ins with Sarah and Aldous, Peter starts to get his life back on track. Will Sarah ever realize what she's missing, and what about Rachel?
