Three scientists from Columbia University in New York were fired from their jobs when their research funding ran out. Determined to continue their work, they decided to start their own company dedicated to getting rid of ghosts. They called it Ghostbusters.
Soon, they got their first client, Dana, who needed help getting rid of a ghost in her apartment near Central Park West. Her neighbors also seemed to be experiencing strange occurrences in the building. It sounded like they might have a ghost problem!
The ghostbusting team arrived armed and ready to destroy the intruding spirits. After their first successful job, their reputation spread throughout the city, and they gained a loyal following.
But then, trouble struck. When the environmental protection agency suspected the team of being frauds, they were arrested. However, when a new, more dangerous ghost began haunting the city, the mayor ordered their release to help save the city.
From that day on, the city of New York would never be the same again.
