Sinbad and the Minotaur are two similar types of entertainment with the sole purpose of providing non-stop fun and excitement, much like the television series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess." They share the same kind of scripts, daring deeds, and bizarre gags, but they never quite hit the mark. This is mostly due to the lack of special abilities and likeability that were the fundamental basis of Kevin Sorbo, Lucy, and others. Manu Bennett is reasonable in his role but never quite manages to bring the energy needed to be a hero, and often seems to just go through the motions. Holly Brisley would be slightly better, but neither have real chemistry or spark between them, and at their best, they come off as caricatures or caricatures.

Sinbad and the Minotaur share the same goal of entertaining without taking themselves too seriously, much like the TV series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess." They have similar scripts, daring feats, and quirky gags, but they never quite hit the mark. This is mainly due to the lack of special abilities and likeability of the main characters. While Manu Bennett is reasonable in his role, he never quite manages to bring the energy needed to be a true hero, and often seems to just go through the motions. Holly Brisley would be slightly better, but neither of them truly have chemistry or spark between them, with their overacting bordering on cartoonish or downright cheesy.
